Synopsis: In Sixth Century Ireland the young Sister Fidelma carries the prestige of a fine education and a growing reputation as a Brehon, a judge, skilled in investigation of crimes. Therefore, she is sent to the Abbey of the Three Salmon when a murdered woman is found in the abbey's well. There, she finds a number of people filled with very unreligious motives, full of suspicious secrets. But was the crime the result of passion or politics?
