A mystery which features a good puzzle and likable protagonists, but meanders a bit with its subplots and quirky, sometimes caricatured characters.

Full Review: This unabridged recording of Murder at the Kennedy Center brings to life the complicated, sometimes unnecessarily so, plot of a political mystery. Exposing the dirty, frequently ruthless political struggles in the center of the nation's power, Truman keeps the guilt hidden almost until the end. In the meantime, the frequently jerky viewpoint switches are used to show the plot from several different points.
The resolution is rather anti-climactic, and lacks the dramatic impact that would suit this book's length and complication. While entertaining, this novel would have benefitted from a tighter plot and some spareness in character narration.
